Pre-Trip Jitters

I leave for the airport in a little over an hour. The packing is (mostly) done, the house is prepared for my absence, the weather forecast has been consulted (again and again). The last meeting at work is over. Now it’s just the nerves.

I always get the jitters starting the day before a trip. “What bag should I pack? How much time to the airport? What clothes? Did I bring everything I need? The laptop? The camera? Do I have my passport? Will the plane leave on time? Will I be able to get around once I get there?”

Tomorrow, by this time, I will already be relaxing, checked in to my hotel. It’s a shame there’s so much stress along the way.
