Writing essays and resumes and other similar documents combine two of my least favorite topics – writing about myself in the present with writing about myself in the future. I despise the kind of self-reflecting boastfulness required to write these documents require. And to throw in the future, forget it! I was once asked that question of all questions – “Where do you see yourself in 5/10 years?” Who knows? I’m usually trying to figure out where I’ll be next week.
